A little history about your business’s history may be a better way to understand how the team you’re hiring to design your website or blog will fare in the long term.
This infographic by design firm Architecture Now explores the history of the team that’s responsible for designing your website.
“When I was doing this project, the idea was to build a portfolio for the people who were going to be using the site.
So the idea for the site was that it would be the best possible portfolio we could build for each individual,” said Matt Ruggles, who worked on the project with architect and professor Michael O’Hagan.
The team involved in the design of your website is going to come from the team who were actually the primary developers, said Ruggens.
“And then you also need to have a good understanding of the history behind your business, especially if you’re working in a startup or an established business,” he added.
“So I’m also looking for the history, so I know what it was like in the old days when a lot of the stuff that we’ve seen today is based on the old ways.”
So what do you need a history of your company to know?
“If you’re a brand new company, you really need to learn a lot from the history that was around before,” said Riggens.”[A history of] the product, and how it’s been designed and built.”
