Architecture and design student, Hannah McBride, was fascinated by the Greeks, their beliefs and architecture in the 1920s.
She went to study at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, where she was fascinated with Greek Revival buildings.
After graduating, she worked as a consultant for a number of Greek Revival and Greek Revival inspired architects, and she soon realized her passion for architecture and design.
She decided to move to Athens and start her own architecture studio.
Her firm, McBride & Associates, is based in the heart of Athens.
Her firm’s clients include the city’s mayor, the former Greek prime minister, the European Parliament and several other Greek politicians.
She’s also been a guest lecturer at the prestigious School of Architecture at Athens University.
McBride is the author of Greek-American Architecture: How a History of the Arts and a Cultural Movement Changed the Face of American Design.
